How the MBS, Message Broadcast Systems, works

Assumption:  The end user has downloaded, installed and registered with tMBS

Assumption:  The end user must be using a IBM Compatible system, MAC version will be released at a later date if a decision is made to proceed with that development. 

  1. Installation:
    1. The end user will click a link that will ask them to save the installer program to their computer.
    2. The end user must initiate the installer program which will installed the application to the appropriate directory on their computer.
    3. After installation is complete, a web page will open linked to the tMBS that will allow the end user to register their application. 
  1. Registration:
    1. The end user will be taken to the tMBS site, where they will need to create a user name and password.  Password and User name will have a method to retrieve either. 
    2. General information will be gathered, Zip Code, Password / User Name Hint and Organization.
    3. Based on the organization the end user will need to answer specific questions, provided by the organization.
    4. The end user upon approval of the organization may be able to customize the design or look of the pop up display box launched when a new message has been issued.
  1. End User Computer:
    1. When the user restarts or starts their computer after the loading of their operating system a pop up HTML or web page will be displayed with the advertising approved by the organization for approximately 10 seconds allowing the users to click on the company logo.  See example below:

    1. The end user can launch this pop up web page by clicking on the MBS icon in the task bar located near the clock on most Windows operating systems.
    2. When a new message has been issued by the organization, a small pop up message will be displayed to all members currently online via broadband or dial up.
    3. An icon in the task bar will let the end user know that a new message has been issued by flashing if that user was not online during the initial broadcast.
    4. The end user can click on the flashing or non-flashing icon to display the messages provided by the organization via a web page hosted by tMBS.
    5. Updates to the core application or pop up window can be updated when the user is connected to the Internet, this update can be done stealth without disturbing the user in most cases.
    6. A uninstall feature for MBS will be provided for the end user 
  1. Organization Usage
    1. The organization will be provided a secure web site to log into to create and maintain broadcast messages.
    2. Statistics can be provided to the organization if desired to show membership response to a specific message.
    3. The organization can broadcast any message when they see fit.
    4. The organization can limit the number of members, via demographics or other methods depending on the complexity that the organization requires.
    5. tMBS can provide technical assistance during normal business hours, extended hours technical assistance can be provided but at a premium.
    6. Previews of the broadcast can be viewed without an actual broadcast.
Audio and Video clips can be provided to users but special arrangements have to made with tMBS to ensure proper bandwidth requirements are in place before broadcast
